Earlier today, Palau's President Tommy Remengesau issued a proclamation making Tuesday, November 4, 2008, the day of the upcoming Presidential Election, a nationwide public holiday.
The date will be a public holiday for both the public and private sector, but only public sector employees will be paid for the non-working day.
