Philippines Still Not Sure About January 2 Public Holiday

(Posted on Monday, December 22, 2008)

Source: GMA News (Manila)

Earlier today, Philippines' President, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (aka. PGMA) has announced that she is still undecided as to whether or not to declare Friday, January 2, 2009 as a special non-working public holiday.

Presumably she will make up her mind before January 2nd. In any case she did add that she would issue a list of all the non-working holidays for the year of 2009, on January 1st, 2009.
