Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has announced that non-working public holidays would be declared this summer if, as expected, daily temperatures exceed 41 degrees.

Earlier this year, Azerbaijan's Labor Code was amended to include the automatic declaration of a non-working public holiday when daily temperatures reached 41 degrees Celsius, instead of the previous threshold of 45 degrees (2009-02-05).
