Bhutan To Schedule Local Elections In October

Bhutan's chief election commissioner, Dasho Kunzang Wangdi, has announced that the local government elections, scheduled for December 2008, but postponed, would be held in early October 2009.

As per Bhutan's legislation, that day will be a public holiday (24-Oct-2007).
