Dominica's National Day Of Prayer Could Become A Public Holiday

The President of the Dominica Association of Evangelical Churches, Bishop Bill Daniel, officially asked both Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, and Opposition leader, Ron Green, to make the April 8, National Day of Prayer, an annual public holiday starting in 2010.

The annual National Day of Prayer was instituted in 2004, after 2 consecutive Prime Ministers died while in office.
