Lebanon Declares June 8 Public Holiday

The government of Lebanon has declared that Monday, June 8, 2009, would be a one-off public holiday, to coincide with the coming parliamentary elections.

As such, as was the case in other instances (2008-05-23 and 2009-05-22), all financial institutions will be closed and no trading or settlement occur on that day.
