Liberia's The Analyst newspaper reports that a number of government officials and some legislators have confided that the Muslim Community could get a public holiday for the End of Ramadan, if the community could agree on which day to celebrate it.

Calls for Muslim public holidays to be added to the list of official Liberian public holidays are recurring regularly (2008-01-04 and 2006-07-01), but this is the first time that a specific Muslim holiday is mentioned.
