New Caledonia Confirms June 26 Not A Public Holiday

The government of New Caledonia has confirmed that June 26, 2009, would not be a public holiday.

June 26, 2008, had been declared a one-off public holiday to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 1988 Matignon agreements (2008-06-05).
