South Africa Will Hold National Elections On April 22

The government of South Africa has announced that the upcoming national elections (presidential and legislative) would be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.

By law, election day is a public holiday in South Africa, as it was indeed declared on the occasions of the last 2 national elections (1999-04-28 and 2004-02-24).
