The main opposition party of Spain's autonomous territory of Ceuta, the UDCE (Unión Demócrata Ceutí) has called on the regional government to also declare the Muslim festival of the Feast of Sacrifice as one of Ceuta's 2 regional public holiday.
The Muslim festival of the Feast of Sacrifice, called Eid al-Adha in Arabic, Tobaski in West Africa, and fiesta del sacrificio o del borrego in Spain, was recently adopted as one of the 2 allowed regional public holidays in Ceuta's neighboring autonomous region of Melilla (2009-08-22).
