The Tanzanian Director of Information Services has published the list of official non-working public holidays dates in Tanzania for the calendar year 2010.
The aforementioned announcement confirms the 2005 decision (2005-04-04) by the government of the United Republic of Tanzania to convert the April 7, Sheikh Abeid Amani Karume Day regional public holiday into a full national public holiday.
Note that, as is often the case (2009-03-04 and 2009-01-08), some of the dates of Muslim public holidays are much later than most of the other countries of Africa and the Middle East.
