Ugandan member of parliament, Henry Banyenzaki, has asked the Government to consider reducing the number of national public holidays, arguing that, for the most part, they do not have any positive impact on the development of the country.
Mr. Banyenzaki's remarks were made on the occasion of the recent Heroes' Day public holiday, which he claims has lost meaning since it has now been politicized and is now just another day for the ruling party to honour its members.
