The government of Afghanistan has moved the upcoming Prophet's Birthday public holiday to Wednesday, February 16, 2011, as the currently expected date conflicts with that year's Liberation Day public holiday.
A few years ago (2007-02-14), on the recommendation of the lower house of parliament, the Afghan government declared the 26th day of Dalwo (around February 15) as a new annual public holiday to commemorate the departure of Soviet troops eighteen years before.
