At the request of the Chief Minister Designate, Hubert Hughes, following his election yesterday, the Governor of Anguilla, Alistair Harrison, has declared tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17, 2010, a one-off national public holiday.
The Anguilla United Front Party, defeated in yesterday's elections, had similarly declared a one-off post-election public holiday on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, following its reelection (2005-02-22).
