The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has issued decision No.184 which declares an additional non-working public holiday for Monday, November 15, 2010.
Earlier this month (15-Oct-2010), the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers had passed a resolution declaring non-working public holidays on November 9, 16 and 17, 2010.
The aforementioned additional bridge public holiday is in line with the practice (see for example 10-Jun-2010) of moving non-working days from the weekend to a Monday or Friday, when a public holiday falls on a Tuesday or Thursday, "to ensure consistency of working and nonworking days", as per point 7 of article 105 of the Labour Code of Azerbaijan.
In compensation, Saturday, November 13, 2010, has been declared a regular working day to compensate the additional one-off public holiday on November 15, 2010.
