The president of Bahrain's Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, has announced that Bahrain would celebrate the upcoming Eid Al Fitr public holiday tomorrow, Friday, September 10, 2010.

Earlier this week (07-Sep-2010), Bahrain's Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, had announced that all ministries and government establishments would be closed, as usual, on the first day of the Eid al-Fitr and the two following days, but that as these 3 days cover the Bahrain Friday and Saturday weekend, the Eid public holidays will be expanded for another two days.

However, at that time, the exact date of the first day of the Eid al-Fitr was not officially announced. At that time, the dates expected for the Eid public holidays, were as per last year's announcement by the Central Bank of Bahrain (22-Jun-2009).
