The Information Department of Brunei Darussalam's Prime Minister's Office has released a list of public holidays for 2011 in the Surat Keliling Jabatan Perdana Menteri Bil 9/2010 Negara Brunei Darussalam Hari-Hari Kelepasan Awam 2011.

As usual (2009-08-12), the aforementioned list, signed by the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office, Dato Paduka Awang Sa Bali Bin Abas, leaves the dates of the various Muslim public holidays (Prophet Muhammad's Birthday, 1st Day of Ramadhan, Nuzul Al-Quraan, Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, Hari Raya Aidil Adha, and 1st Day of Muharram) as "Subject to changes".

Once again, this year, it seems that the dates used as initial estimates are based on the Saudi Calendar, and not the official MABIMS calendar used to calculate the Muslim public holidays in Brunei Darussalam.
