The government of Gabon has announced that the upcoming National Day holidays would extend from Monday to Wednesday, August 16-18, 2010.
Although August 16 and 17 are annual paid public holidays (sont déclarées fériés, chômés et payés), the additional one-off public holiday on August 18, 2010, will be counted against workers' vacation time (la journée est déclarée chômée et récupérable).
