Ghana's Minister for the Interior, Martin Amidu, has announced that his ministry had declared Friday, September 10, 2010, as the date of the upcoming Eid-Ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday in Ghana.

In the past, Ghana has either declared Muslim public holidays early (2008-09-25 and 2007-12-15) as do Nigeria and Libya, or on a more middle-of-the-road date that follows the Saudi Arabian announcements (2009-09-15, 2008-12-03 and 2007-10-10).
