Guinea's Minister of Information, Thierno Saidou Bayo, has announced that the second round of the current Presidential elections would be held on August 14, rather than August 3, 2 weeks after the first round.
The reason given was to avoid having to declare another one-off public holiday on August 3 (since August 14 is already a non-working day in Guinea Conakry).
