The Honduran Banks Association (Asociación Hondureña de Instituciones Bancarias-Ahiba) has announced that banks in Honduras would remain open on December 27 and January 3, the 2 one-off full-day year-end public holidays recently declared by the Government of Honduras.
Last week (2010-12-16), Honduras' Minister of the Interior, Áfrico Madrid, had decided to add four, year-end, public sector holidays: beginning at noon on Friday, December 24, and Friday, December 31, 2010, as well as the entire days of Monday, December 27, 2010, and Monday, January 3, 2011.
