The Isle of Man Council of Ministers has announced that it will soon consider whether to also declare an extra bank holiday (aka. public holiday) on Friday, April 29, 2011, on account of the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The UK (2010-11-23) and Scotland (2010-11-24) have already announced that April 29, 2011, will be a one-off public holiday, while Jersey is currently considering the idea (2010-11-22).

A couple of months ago (2010-09-10), the Isle of Man Council of Ministers had already agreed to declare an extra bank holiday (aka. public holiday) in 2012, after Tynwald Day, to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
