Liberia Declares April 9 Public Holiday

Liberia's President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has declared tomorrow, Friday, April 9, 2010, as National Fast and Prayer Day.

The proclamation, signed by Liberia's Assistant Foreign Minister for Public Affairs, Josephus Moses Gray, states that this year's National Fast and Prayer Day is to be observed as national non-working public holiday throughout the territorial confines of the country, and that, as such, all offices, business houses, market places are to remain closed on this day.
