At the last council of government, Madagascar's Ministère de la Fonction Publique du Travail et des Lois sociales announced the official list of 2010 public holidays in Madagascar.

As per the aforementioned Décret n° 2010-018 du 20 janvier 2010 fixant la liste des jours fériés, chômés et payés au titre de l'année 2010 (Journal Officiel, 2010-03-15, n° 3297, pp. 205-207), in addition to the annual list of public holidays (2009-01-13), the dates of elections shall also be a public holiday (sont déclarées également fériées, chômées et payées les journées auxquelles se tiendront des élections).

Contrary to what was done in the last 3 years (2009-01-13, 2008-01-16 and 2007-01-09), the decree does not list any one-off bridge public holiday.
