The State Secretary for Malaysia's State of Kelanta, Mohd Aiseri Alias, has announced that the state government had finally decided to declare Thursday, November 4, 2010, as a one-off state public holiday.

The aforementioned cuti peristiwa (occasional holiday) had been expected (08-Oct-2010) to be declared on account of the Galas state by-election called following the death of its incumbent, Chek Hashim Che Sulaima, on September 27.
