Nigeria's Minister of Interior, Emmanuel Ihenacho, has announced that the Federal Government had declared Tuesday and Wednesday, November 16 and 17, 2010, as non-working public holidays to mark the upcoming Id-el-Kabir Muslim festival.

This announcement, as was the case last year (20-Nov-2009), has Nigeria Nigeria following the Libyan LCRSS Muslim Calendar to determine the dates of its public holidays. This is in contrast with previous Eid public holidays announcements (18-Sep-2009 and 03-Dec-2008).
