Nigeria Announces Id-el-Kabir Public Holidays Dates
Posted: Friday, November 12, 2010
Nigeria's Minister of Interior, Emmanuel Ihenacho, has announced that the Federal Government had declared Tuesday and Wednesday, November 16 and 17, 2010, as non-working public holidays to mark the upcoming Id-el-Kabir Muslim festival.
This announcement, as was the case last year (2009-11-20), has Nigeria Nigeria following the Libyan LCRSS Muslim Calendar to determine the dates of its public holidays. This is in contrast with previous Eid public holidays announcements (2009-09-18 and 2008-12-03).
