Pakistan Revises Date Of Prophet's Birthday Public Holiday

The Federal Government of Pakistan has announced that the date of the upcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday had been revised to Saturday, February 27, 2010.
Late last year (2009-12-24), Pakistan's Ministry of Interior, in consultation with Karachi's Meteorological Department, had issued the expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2010, which included the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday on Friday, February 26, 2010, although as usual, the announcement did specify that its dates for Muslim public holidays were subject to revision (2009-09-16 and 2009-08-20).
