Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has announced the official dates for Singapore's 2011 public holidays.

The 2011 Deepavali public holiday date announced by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower, today, was set after the government of Singapore consulted with us in January 2010. But, following the 2009 Deepavali imbroglio (2009-02-10), the Ministry's website prefers to remind the public that "The date, 26 October 2011, for Deepavali needs to be checked against the Indian Almanac when it is available. Should there be a change in date, the Ministry of Manpower will issue a media release to announce the change".

Last month (2010-03-19), Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) had announced that the date of the 2010 Deepavali public holiday had been confirmed as Friday, November 5, 2010.
