Anguilla Declares Royal Wedding Public Holiday

The government of Anguilla has declared Friday, April 29, 2011, the date of the upcoming Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, as a one-off public holiday throughout Anguilla.

The aforementioned announcement was made in the "Government Circular No 1 of 29th March 2011" as an "Addendum To The Ministry of Home Affairs Circular No 1 of 3rd October 2010, Public Holidays 2011" (2010-11-10 and 2011-02-28).

Currently, the UK (2010-11-23), Scotland (2010-11-24), the Cayman Islands (2011-02-01), the Isle of Man (2011-01-10), Gibraltar (2011-01-06), Guernsey and Alderney (2011-01-26), Jersey (2011-01-20), the Falkland Islands (2011-02-02), the Turks and Caicos Islands (2011-02-27), and the British Virgin Islands (2011-03-18), have officially announced that Friday, April 29, 2011, would be a one-off public holiday to commemorate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
