As per the aforementioned circular, all government ministries, authorities and institutions will be on public holidays on Friday and Saturday, December 16 and 17, 2011.

In addition, and as was the case last year (2010-12-12), Sunday and Monday, December 18 and 19, 2011, have been declared as additional day in lieu public holidays, based on the Legislative Decree No.23 of 1976, which declare a day in lieu public holiday to compensate public holidays that fall on a weekend day or another public holiday.
