Cuba Declares May 2 Public Holiday

Cuba's Ministry of Labor has announced that Monday, May 2, 2011, would be treated as a national non-working public holiday.

Normally, Cuban public holidays which fall on a weekend are not moved to the following Monday, except for a few occasions over the past years (2010-10-04, 2006-12-20 and 2007-11-20).
