Gambia's president, Yahya Jammeh, has declared Friday, April 22, and Monday, April 25, 2011, as non-working public holidays throughout Gambia in observance of the upcoming Good Friday and Easter Monday.

As per custom (2008-03-19), the aforementioned announcement is signed by the President of the Republic of The Gambia, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh, GMRG, as a FAAICL (Fellow of Australian Asia Institute for Civil Leadership).
