Jordanian Prime Minister, Awn Shawkat Al-Khasawneh, has issued an official statement declaring Sunday, December 25, 2011, as an official non-working public holiday on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas Day holiday.

A similar announcement was made last year (2010-12-22), by then Prime Minister, Marouf Bakhit, despite the fact that he had previously listed official holidays for the period from 2007-2011 (2010-12-03).
