Jordan Declares May 1 Public Holiday

Jordanian Prime Minister, Marouf Bakhit, has issued a communiqué declaring Sunday, May 1st, 2011, as a public holiday for all ministries, government departments and public institutions.

The Jordanian government often (2006-04-25), though not systematically (2005-04-25), moves mid-week public holidays to the nearest weekend.
