The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan is considering making Friday wholly or partially part of the weekend in Kyrgyzstan.
Some proposals involve making Friday a day-off for observant Muslims, while other lawmakers have proposed amending the Labour Code so as to allow Muslim government employees two or three hours' leave from work to perform the Friday prayer.
