Madagascar's chargé de communication à la Présidence de la HAT has published a detailed program for Madagascar's upcoming 51st Independence Day celebrations which rules-out a day in lieu public holiday on Monday, June 27, 2011.

This year's official list of Madagascar public holidays (2011-01-15), as was the case last year (2010-01-20), did not include, or even refer to, any one-off bridge public holiday, or day in lieu public holidays, contrary to what was done in the preceding years (2009-01-13, 2008-01-16 and 2007-01-09), although a bridge public holiday for Ascension Friday was declared earlier this month (2011-06-01).
