The Chief Minister of Malaysia's State of Terengganu, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said, has announced that the State of Terengganu had declared Sunday, June 19, 2011, as a public holiday to celebrate the state victory in Saturday's FA Cup finals.

The reason for the need to declare a Sunday, non-working, public holiday, is that in 3 of Malaysia's States (Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu), the weekly day of rest is Friday, and that, as such, Sundays are regular working days (2005-06-21).

Last week (2011-06-11), Malaysia's State of Kelantan had declared Sunday, June 12, 2011, as a one-off State public holiday in conjunction with the FA Cup final between Kelantan and Terengganu on June 11.
