Maldives Declares March 3 Public Holiday

The Office of the President of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed, has released a press communique indicating that Thursday, March 3, 2011, had been declared a one-off public holiday as the first sitting of the People's Majlis for the year will be held on that date.

Maldives' President Nasheed declared similar public holidays the last 2 years (2010-02-22 and 2009-03-02).
