Nigeria's Minister of Interior, Emmanuel Ihenacho, has announced that the Nigerian Federal Government had declared Friday, April 22, and Monday, April 25, 2011, as non-working public holidays on account of the upcoming Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations.

In related news, the State Government of Nigeria's State of Bayelsa has announced that it had declared Tuesday, April 26, 2011, as a one-off non-working state public holiday to coincide with the upcoming visit of President-elect Goodluck Jonathan.
