Nigeria Declares Prophet's Birthday Public Holiday

Nigeria's Minister of Interior, Captain Emmanuel Ihenacho, through his Assistant Director in charge of Press, Ogaziechi Theodore, has announced that the federal government of Nigeria had declared Tuesday, February 15, 2011, as a public holiday to commemorate the Eid el-Maulud (birthday of the Holy Prophet Mohammed).

As such, the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, February 15, 2011, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria.
