Oman 2011 National Day Public Holidays Announced

Oman's Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and President Civil Service Board, Khaled Bin Hilal Bin Saud Al Busaidi, has announced that the upcoming public sector holidays for the 2011 Omani National Day and Hijri New Year would be from Thursday to Monday, November 24-28, 2011, inclusively.

In a separate statement, Oman's Manpower Minister has issued a ministerial decision declaring that the Omani private sector would be on public holidays from Saturday to Monday, November 26-28, 2011, inclusively.

The dates of Oman's National Day, November 18-19, are by tradition regular working days (2009-11-18), and the actual dates of the corresponding public holidays dates are announced at the last minute for a later date (2010-12-11, 2009-11-20, 2008-11-17, 2007-11-13, and 2006-11-16).
