The honorary prefect of Peru's region of Puno, Víctor Urviola Garrido, has announced that the annual, May 2, regional public holiday, would not be moved to May 3rd, despite the declaration of May 2 as a national day-in-lieu public holiday.
Recall that, as per the government of Peru executive order (Decreto Supremo No. 019-2011-PCM), released earlier this year (2011-03-06), 5 additional public sector holidays, including May 2nd, were declared for the calendar year 2011.
