As was the case last year (2010-01-26), the aforementioned announcement lists Easter Sunday as a public holiday in the Seychelles, while the current public holidays legislation (the Public Holidays Act 1976, an Act to make provision for public holidays; and to provide for matters incidental thereto or connected therewith) specifically lists Easter Saturday as a public holiday, rather than Easter Sunday.
The announced list of 2011 public holidays in the Seychelles also lists International Women's Day, on March 8, as a new public holiday, as had been voted in Parliament last spring (2010-04-15).
