Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has released the list of the official dates for Singapore's 2012 public holidays.
As usual the main uncertainties resolved by the aforementioned announcement are those tied to the date of the variable-date Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist public holidays.
As usual, and in particular since the 2009 Deepavali fiasco (2009-02-10 and 2008-02-25), the MOM site points out that "The date, 13 November 2012, for Deepavali needs to be checked against the Indian Almanac when it is available. Should there be a change in date, the Ministry of Manpower will issue a media release to announce the change".
Note, however, that no changes to the announced dates of the Deepavali public holiday has been required (2011-03-23 and 2010-03-19), since the Singapore government started consulting us on the date of Deepavali prior to the release of the official list of Singapore public holidays (2010-04-21 and 2009-06-08).
