Tunisia's Prime Minister has announced the dates of the upcoming Aïd El Fitr public holidays as running for an extended period of 3 days, from Tuesday, August 30, until Thursday, September 1, 2011, inclusively.
The aforementioned declaration of a 3-day Aïd El Fitr period of public holidays is in line with last spring's announcement (2011-05-25) by the Tunisian Council of Ministers of a change to the Tunisian Labour Code, one feature of this change being the extension of the annual end of Ramadan public holiday for a 3rd consecutive day.
