The Governor of the UAE's Central Bank has declared 3 days of bank holidays for the upcoming Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) public holidays, and as such has sent a circular to all banks operating in the United Arab Emirates instructing them to remain closed from Saturday to Monday, November 5-7, 2011, inclusively.
Note that the aforementioned 3-day bank holidays will occur on the same dates as the previously announced (2011-10-31) UAE private sector's upcoming non-working public holidays for the Eid Al Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).
In a separate announcement, the Dubai Stock Market announced that it would be closed for three days, from Sunday to Tuesday, November 6-8, 2011, also on account of the upcoming Eid Al Adha non-working public holidays.
