Ugandan October 5 Public Holiday Ruled-Out

Uganda's Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Education and Sports has announced that tomorrow, International Teachers' Day, on October 5th, is not a non-working public holiday in Uganda.

As per the aforementioned announcement, "The PS hereby informs all the chief administrative officers, district education officers, head teachers, teachers and the general public that tomorrow, 5th october 2011, though a world teachers day, it is not a public holiday.".
