Venezuela Declares June 7 Public Holiday

The Governor of Venezuela's State of Anzoátegui, Tarek W. Saab, has announced that Tuesday, June 7, 2011, would be a one-off state public holiday to mark the day when Venezuela's national football team meets Spain's.

Earlier this year (2011-01-31), the government of the same State of Anzoátegui declared Monday, January 31, 2011, as a one-off state public holiday (día de júbilo no laborable) to celebrate the Anzoátegui Caribes' winning of their first title in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League.
