Vietnamese 2011 Public Holidays Extended

The Vietnamese Prime Minister has acceded to the request of MOLISA (Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs) and has decreed extended non-working public holidays for the upcoming 2011 Tet and Hung Kings public holidays in Vietnam.

As per the aforementioned decree, Monday and Tuesday, January 31 and February 1st, 2011, will be additional non-working public holidays, being compensated by Saturday and Sunday, January 29 and 30, 2011, being declared regular working days.

In addition, the Hung Kings public holiday, added a few years ago (2007-03-29 and 2007-03-24) will be extended to 3 consecutive days (Sunday to Tuesday, April 10 to 12, 2011) with Saturday, April 9, 2011, being declared a regular working day.
