Bahrain's Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has issued a circular declaring Tuesday, May 1, 2012, as a non-working public holiday to mark the International Labor Day holiday for the calendar year 2012.

As per the aforementioned circular, all government ministries, state bodies and establishments will be closed on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

The declaration of Tuesday, May 1, 2012, as a non-working public holiday in Bahrain to mark the International Labor Day holiday is in line with the official list of 2012 public holidays in Bahrain, released last year (07-Sep-2011) and follows a trend of declaring a non-working public holiday for the International Labor Day holiday for the last few years (28-Apr-2011, 29-Apr-2010 and 24-Apr-2009).
